After downloading the form, print it out.
How to Apply for a PAN Card Fill out the form.
This form must be completed in English using BLOCK LETTERS.
To fill out the form, it is better to use black ink.
Fill only one character in each box: alphabet, number, punctuation sign.
After each word, a blank box should be left.
Two recent color photographs must be submitted by ‘individual’ applicants with a white background.
These photos must be pasted in the provided spaces.
The photo should be at least 3.5cm by 2.5cm
Photos should not be stapled to or clipped onto the form.
The photo to the left should bear a thumb impression or signature.
The signature/thumb impression for the right side photo should be located below it.
A Notary Public or authorized officer with an official seal and stamp should attest thumb impressions.

How to Apply for a PAN Card Start filling out the form.
Fill out the details of the Assessing officer first.
These webpages contain information about assessing officers.
You will need to complete the item 1 section.
Here, select your title, like Shri, Smt etc.
In full-form, write your surname, first and middle names.
These should be completed without initials.
Your name should not have any title such as M/s, Dr. or Kumari.
What if the non-individual name is longer than the space?
It can then be continued in the same space as First and Middle names.
If a Company is being called, it should not contain any abbreviations.

Variations such as Private Ltd, Private Ltd, P, P. Ltd, etc. are not permitted.
If sole proprietorship is the case, the PAN should only be applied in the owner’s name.

How to Apply for a PAN Card Item 7 requires your address.
Only individuals, HUFs, AOPs, BOIs and AJPs should fill residential addresses.
If an individual has a source or income, such as a business or profession, they should provide their Office Address.
Complete office address must be provided for any Firm, LLP or Company, Local Authority, Trust or other entity.
These details should be included in the address that all applicants give.

8. Address for Communication
Individuals/HUFs/AOP/BOI/AJP may tick on either ‘Residence’ or ‘Office’ address.
Other applicants should also write their “Office” address

You must fill in the item 9.
Telephone numbers should contain Country code, i.e. ISD code and Area/STD codes

Select the applicable category status in item 10.
The PAN will receive a Firm status in the case of Limited Liability Partnerships.
Item 11 requests the registration of companies from the Registrar of Companies.
Other applicants might mention the registration number issued by the State or Central Government Authority.

International addresses can only be paid by Demand Draft, payable at Mumbai.
The last box on the form asks for the applicant to sign or take a thumb-print.
For minors, the dead, lunatics, and the mentally retarded, the representative assessee should sign or take a thumb print.
All applications without a signature or thumbprint will be refused
Acceptance of the form will be acknowledged by applicants.
This will include the Unique Identification number.

व्यक्ति/एचयूएफ/एओपी/बीओआई/एजेपी या तो ‘निवास’ या ‘कार्यालय’ के पते पर टिक कर सकते हैं।
अन्य आवेदक भी अपना “कार्यालय” का पता लिखें
सभी संचार इस पते पर भेजे जाएंगे।
आपको आइटम 9 भरना होगा।
टेलीफोन नंबरों में देश कोड, यानी आईएसडी कोड और क्षेत्र/एसटीडी कोड होना चाहिए
